I'm an average guy who is trying to live an above average life. What does that mean? Well I have a lot of up's and downs in life just like anyone so I hope to share some of my thoughts and adventures along the roller-coaster of life. I hope to try and entertain readers with funny stories, product reviews and plain nonsense. I started this blog in 2010 when I was a rider on the Gary Fisher 29er Crew and after a few year hiatus I’m back with new tails and adventures.

24 hrs of Fury
Well this has been a crazy week. I headed out to the 24 hrs of Fury on Friday with my dirt squirt Mackenzie. We had all the comforts of home because Liz and Chris Nelson (Erik Nelson's Parents) loaned us their motor home. THANKS AGAIN GUYS!!
I have been looking forward to this race for a while now. I have been working hard with my new coach Art and he has not let me spread my wings and test my self for about 2 months. The last time I have gone hard was in August.
I put this team together with a lot of thought and I had high expectations for us. The team I put together was a 4 person coed which consisted of myself, Rob Harder, Will Swanson, and Tiffany Grave.
The race started on Saturday at noon and I had to throw down the 1st lap. Great I have not tested my self and now I have to go first and try and get the team off to a good start. BUT i got on to the single track in 3rd place and ended up with a 44.39 min. lap (that is 10 min faster then last year). We battled all the way into the night with the returning championship team, and at about 10 pm or so we had a 20 min gap. As the night wore on we increased our gap to about 40 min. During the night was hard I did not eat right and I started to cramp, but I pushed through. At around 6 am I set out on my 2nd to last lap. I was not feeling the best but I was able to put down a 53 min lap.
All my team mates were spent as well because we had been pushing so hard and at this time we already had a 1 lap lead. At around 9 am and was starting to feel better and on my 7th lap I was able to put in a 50 min lap. Rob H. also put in a 50 min lap, Tiffany dropped a 56 min lap( this was incredible) and her BF Will put the smack down with a 48 min lap.
When Will crossed the finish line we still had 30 min till the end of the race and we had a full extra lap. We completed 27 laps in 24 hrs which was enough for the win in the coed division. We also had a good enough time to put us in the top five of the 4 person male division.
As the weekend wound down I was able to reflect on the past few days and I am very optimistic for this upcoming season. With the support of my family and friends, the support and help from my coach, and as always if the it is the good Lords will I will accomplish all the goals I have set for myself and maybe even one I have not set yet.
Thanks to all the support everyone and check back to see how the season unfolds.
